Answer #3:
Cozumel has the best scuba diving. There are some man made beaches on the west side of the island where all the hotels are at. The East side is virtually deserted but has miles and miles of beaches with only an occasional bar. However, since the island is only a 30 minute ferry ride, and $17 round trip from Playa del Carmen, I would stay in PDC. There are fabulous beaches and so much more to do in PDC. You can also go cenote diving just south of PDC near Akumal. I posted some links to other things you can do in PDC. I think you will really like it.Fly into Cancun and have your hotel pick you up or take the bus to PDC. You can also fly into Cozumel.
Answer #4:
For sure consider Baja California Sur! Southern Baja is absolutely wonderful. My favorite place is La Paz. It is right on the Sea of Cortez and the capital city of Baja Sur. You can fly into La Paz(LAP) or Cabo (SJD). We usually fly to Cabo, rent a car and drive to La Paz. A beautiful drive! In southern Baja there are the most beautiful, quiet, relaxing beaches in the world. World class fishing and diving, even whale watching. We go every year and stay in La Paz, downtown. Also along the way check out Rancho Leonero in Las Barrillas. All of southern Baja is clean, safe, friendly and for adventurers. Some people like Cabo San Lucas, some like the east cape, we always go to La Paz and Las Arenas. Have fun where ever you go! Kind regards!...............................................Answer #5:
guanajuato has a lot of history to it, it's quite european looking.Answer #6:
If you have an andventurous mind, I'd definitely, definitely recommend Chiapas. It has the Lacandona jungle, and its natural beauties are practically unspoilt. It has some of the richest, most diverse ecosystems the country has to offer. It also has beautiful waterfalls and beaches, and many places of historic interest from the Maya culture.
Its cuisine is very traditional, and authentically Mexican.
Its culture has preserved much of the Mayan influence, so it is always an interesting experience to get to interact with the people and learn. They have mountains of traditional knowledge, which I find fascinating.
It is, in my opinion, the most beautiful state in the country.
Be careful, however, of being respectful. You will find poverty there.
Make sure that you have in your group someone who speaks Spanish 100%. You won't find many english speakers.
Good luck (:
